Image Quality for 1D and 2D Codes
For a linear code, preserve sharp vertical bar edges and include the complete left and right quiet areas. For Data Matrix, PDF417, or Aztec, keep the entire symbol visible and avoid steep angles.
- Use the original resolution instead of a thumbnail.
- Crop nearby background without cutting the code border.
- Avoid glare, blur, shadows, and aggressive compression.
- Rotate the image so the code is upright when practical.
