Read an Email QR Payload
Email QR codes usually contain either a mailto address with optional query parameters or a MATMSG payload with separate recipient, subject, and body fields. The decoder organizes those values into a readable result and preserves the raw text for inspection.
Compose Email opens your device's configured email handler only after you select it. The tool does not send a message, submit a form, or verify that the recipient address belongs to the person or business shown near the QR code.

QR codes can prefill persuasive or misleading content. Review every field before moving it into your mail app.
- Confirm the complete recipient address and domain.
- Read the subject and body for unexpected requests.
- Remove any content you do not want to send.
- Do not attach sensitive information based only on a QR code prompt.
Email Content Stays Local
Recipients, subjects, messages, and raw QR values are parsed in the browser. They are not sent to our server or included in analytics. An email app receives the fields only when you deliberately choose Compose Email.
